I didn’t always like it. At first I was a skeptic. Now, I’m a big, big fan.

I’m talking about Pinterest.

If you agree with me that the essence of social media is about connecting, sharing, relating and networking – listen up. I’m into social media. I’m an avid Facebook user (we’re talking every hour of everyday – it’s how I get a paycheck), I find Twitter useful and fast, LinkedIn is overlooked but an important tool, Google+ caught and then lost my attention and I have yet to explore the wonders of FourSquare, Flickr, StumbleUpon and Evernote.

The single girl necessities of life

As I type/ think of all that is related to my personal version of “the single girl necessities” my mind immediately wanders to the Disney cartoon classic “The Jungle Book.” The sweet supporting character of Baloo the bear who lovingly takes Mowgli, the infant boy who is found in a basket as a baby in the deep jungles and sings to him about the “Bare Necessities.”
